Sri Lanka 1977 – Independent Study Program Plan

This diary starts with Chapter 1 in the US, and Chapter 2 covers the landing and orientation in Sri Lanka.  The School for International Training provided a schedule for the four-month study program. The next chapters will summarise my daily experience in the country.

Sri Lanka 1977: Ch#2 – Orientation

September 11, 1977 Today is the first day, and it’s hard to believe the things that have happened.  The young lady who came with me on this program turned out to be black.  She is very intelligent and attractive.  She makes this experience even better.  The people here are very friendly and attractive.  I’m staying Sri Lanka 1977: Ch#2 – Orientation

Sri Lanka 1977: Ch#1

Diary written in 1977 while living in Sri Lanka, accounting for events and thoughts. At the end of most daily accounts will be ‘notes’ that were written after returning to the United States.
